Building a storage shed from pallets. Woud this be practical?
I have access to all the pallets I could ever want. It seems like such a waste not to re-purpose them for something. I'd like to try buildinga small storagebuilding. Just curious if pallets would be a suitable building material if left as is (not pulled apart).

As 1 & 2 say, Sure, why not. Assume you're fortunate, as pallets are so often a guarded commodity, and recycled dearly.
I might even begin the project like a Pole barn, setting a treated wood framework for support, and probably elevating the pallets Off ground level, even with pier blocks, although they last a long time outdoors, unprotected, they are subject to Termites and/or Carpenter ants.
Then I might even do a simple, single slope roof with overhang, Siding, flooring, and you should be good to go. I might too want to know the species of wood, just out of curiousity. Many are made of Oak, but can be Pine/ or other conifer as well. Certainly if you've ever tried to tear a pallet apart, you know difficult that can be.

The shed is 8' x 14' with 7' high walls, do we need permits to have pro built? How close to property line can it be?

You need to contact your town's building & permits dept., they can usually give you an information packet for the specific job you want to do. The packet will include info like codes and ordinances, building tips, permit info, etc.
These kinds of projects are usually governed at the town level, not county.

im building a storage shed and want a gambrel roof?
the shed will be 12x 12 with the walls 96 inches this is with top plates and bottom plate. im having a bit of trouble finding the length to cut my trusses and also trouble with the angles to be cut. i have built ashed with a gable roof in the past.

You are essentially building a roof with 2 pitches. Place your ridge. Determine what you want for the front pitch, figure your cuts with a swanson square or roofing square, and do the same for the different pitch on the back.
How do you cut a truss without it falling apart? If you are building your own trusses, that takes a lot of engineering to produce the proper load bearing. Did you mean rafters?

Question about building a storage shed and roof pitch.?
I don't know much about building so I could use your help.
Imagine that the roof of astorageshed has one full 4x8 sheet of plywood on each side.
What would the dimensions of the shed have to be and what is the pitch of the roof? I'm looking width and depth or length, however you want to look at it.

With just one sheet per side, your shed would need to be less than 7' wide, or deep.
4' wide, would be a 12 pitch, 45 degree angle roof,
5' wide a 9 pitch, almost a 34 degree angle,
6' wide, a 6 pitch, 22.5 degree angle,
7' wide, a 3 pitch, approx. 11 degree angle, and
8' wide would be a flat roof, no angle.

Any time you buy prefabricated, you pay someone to do a portion of the work for you. If you own a compound miter saw and a circular saw then doing it from scratch will be easy for you. You simply need plans for what you want. The site below has plans, none to the scale you desire, so you will need to adapt them for your needs. But they will assist you in determining cut angles on rafters and roof joists. Also is a link for garage plans since your shed is more the size of a garage. The money you save building from scratch verses prefab would easily pay for a compound miter saw. Good luck.

Do Arrow Building Storage Sheds make noise when it rains?
I am looking into buying one of their spacesaver sheds and since it is made of Baked-on enamel finish on galvanized steel for longer life and rust resistance I was wondering it when it rains - Does it make alot of noise when the rain hits it?? I am wondering if it is better to go with a hard plastic shed instead but, I do prefer the Arrow Shed. Thank you.

Yes on both . Slightly quieter with the plastic. If you are standing inside, both will be noisy.
